Job description
\nLTAS Technologies provides Short Term Vacation Rental (STR) monitoring, identification and outreach program to ensure all short term vacation rentals listed in a City are registered for their business license, and paying the appropriate hotel tax. STRs are collected from websites such as Airbnb, HomeAway, FlipKey, Booking, Craigslist and others.<\/p>\n

The Research Analyst has the following role:<\/p>\n

-Research to identify STR operators using social media, public records, and \u201cskip tracing\u201d skills
\n-Collect and archive screenshots of supporting evidence
\n-Enter findings into a web-based editing tool
\n-Maintaining a high standard of accuracy and detail throughout their work
\n-Accept feedback from the QA department through Skype, Slack or in person and implement corrective actions
\n-Perform other duties as assigned by management<\/p>\n

Qualifications include:
\n-High computer literacy skills required, especially Google Maps and Google Street View
\n-Online mapping, GIS data, social media searching, database searching and matching skills highly preferred
\n-Secondary-school degree or diploma preferred
\n-Highly Detail oriented
\n-Ability to work independently through remote communications
\n-Other language experience is nice to have<\/p>\n

This is a remote contract position that pays based on work performed, not on an hourly basis. Remote Research Analyst is able to work remotely and has existing resources such as laptop and internet, etc. Training will be provided remotely. Compensation is set at up to $6 per correct identification, and $1 per identification attempt. LTAS Technologies helps local governments regulate short term rentals like Airbnbs. However, this is challenging because the short term rental location is undisclosed until it\u2019s booked and owner\/operator names may not be the true names. Harmari STR is our service provided by LTAS, that monitors and identifies over 80 short term rental websites, with supporting evidence taken from the internet. \u00a0We need analysts that are good with online Mapping, GIS data, social media searching, database searching, and matching. Along with the sushi line, please also mention that you use chopsticks. We provide our analysts with listings and they are to find demographic pieces of information along with supporting evidence including screenshots. \u00a0Our analysts are critical to us and our customers\u2019 success.<\/p>\n

The compensation model is based on the amount of work completed for each listing. If we provide you with an unidentified listing with no information and you complete the profile of information correctly (property location, owner name, operator name) with supporting evidence, you will be paid out at between $4.00 to $6.00 for each record depending on detail provided and difficulty of the identification. If you provide partial information of the profile, depending on what information and how much evidence is provided, you receive a partial payment between $1.00 to $3.00. It can take up to 2 months to fully grasp an understanding of this unique skillset. A typical analyst with a typical workload can make between $120.00 to $400.00 biweekly. The role is work from home anytime, anywhere. We require a minimum of 10 identifications per week performed from each analyst and a 1-year contract term. \u00a0You will be supported by our QA team through Slack, and you can ask questions anytime if you\u2019re not sure about things.<\/p>\n
